The race covers a distance of 14 km with a climb of 1065 m, featuring steep and rough terrain, ridge running, and an interesting final descent. Parking is available at Coniston CE Primary School with limited space, and registration will be at the Coniston Institute. The race starts on Copper Mines Road and has checkpoints on the summits of Wetherlam, Swirl How, and the Old Man, with a strict 90-minute cut-off at Swirl Hause.
