Community 10K, 5K and children's races in Houston, Renfrewshire on 17 May 2026, with chip timing for the 5K and 10K, medals, age-category awards and post-race refreshments.

A trail race in Balbirnie Park, Markinch on 17 May 2026, covering between 4 and 4.5 miles on paths and woodland trails. All finishers receive a medal and prizes are awarded across overall and age categories.

A Race for Life event at Hopetoun House offering a chip timed 10k plus 5k and 3k options on mostly gravel and forestry paths. There is a minimum fundraising target of £50 and designated parking on the estate.

Join Kirkhill 8 on 23 May 2026 for a scenic 4.3 mile trail loop in Kirkhill Forest that you can repeat over an eight hour window to chase distances from marathon to 50 miles. Limited to 100 places, this friendly, inclusive event fills fast.

Trail races at Hulne Park near Alnwick Castle offer 5K, 10K, half marathon and junior 2K options on multi terrain, traffic free courses with chip timing, finisher medals and prizes for top individuals and teams.

MacTuffX Glasgow on 24/05/2026 offers solo, doubles and relay formats over 10x400m or 10x800m segments, with distinct entry fees by category and an age restriction of 18 or older.

A final local trail race in St Boswells covering about 13 km across river trails, open fields and rooty paths with a historical Wobbly Bridge midway. Numbers are issued in the village Hall and entry is £15.

A 10 km trail route starting and finishing at Ingram Village Hall that visits the summits of Cochrane Pike and East Hill with two outward-and-return climbs. The course passes through a working, sensitive area so dogs are not permitted.

MacTuffX Aberdeen on 25 May 2026 features interval events of ten 400 m or 800 m repeats, offered in solo, doubles and relay formats. Entrants must be 18 or older.

A guided social trail run of approximately 9 km through Mugdock Park and Craigallian Woods, aimed at runners who can run a road 10 km in under 60 minutes. Mud is likely and the group is led by a qualified, first aid trained guide.

Blair Castle Trail Weekender is a three day trail event in Blair Atholl from 29 to 31 May 2026. Official timing is provided and race day results will be published.

Peebles Pootle is an offroad walking event around Peebles offering two route options with significant ascent. Checkpoints follow walking opening times but runners may participate.

A 16 km unmarked hill race in the Lowther Hills with 1200 m of climb, limited to 200 runners. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, bring a refillable cup for water stations, and be prepared to navigate open, pathless terrain.

Chariots of Fire Beach Race is a 5 km out and back on West Sands, St Andrews, with a 1 mile children's fun run. The event uses chip timing, offers post race refreshments and raises funds for RNLI and local charities.

June 2026

Three evening *5 km* races in Edinburgh at Inverleith Park, Leith Links and Fettes. Individual entry is £12 or £30 for all three; chip timing, photos, marked routes and age-category prizes are provided.

A 50 km out and back ultramarathon along the Ayrshire Coast starting and finishing at Irvine Beach, running across beaches, promenades and trails from sunset into sunrise. Aid stations at 12, 25 and 37 km; drop bag option at 25 km.

A 31 miles ultra around Loch Lyon and into Glen Lochay with about 3,500 ft of ascent. The mostly off road route includes several river crossings, multiple water checkpoints and mandatory kit requirements.
