Edinburgh Summer 5K Series

The Sundowner 5K Series consists of three running events held across various green spaces in Edinburgh during the summer months. Participants move through inner trail paths at three different locations:

  • 5 km (Inverleith Park)
  • 5 km (Leith Links)
  • 5 km (Fettes)

The series is designed for runners of all abilities, including those seeking a personal best or a social run. Each event is chip timed, and the courses are clearly marked with marshals stationed along the route. A warm-up is provided by Westwoods Health Club prior to the start.

Registration is available for individual races or as a complete three-event series. Each event has a maximum capacity of 250 entries. While online registration is the primary method, limited entry on the day may be available depending on capacity.

Participants receive race photography and a finisher medal. Awards are presented to the fastest male and female runners in each age category at every event. Additionally, a special prize is awarded to the runner who shows the most improvement across the entire series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
