CT Lakes 100 is a 94 km trail ultramarathon across the Lake District from St Bees to Shap on 20 March 2027, featuring 2,931 m of ascent and checkpoints at Ennerdale, Borrowdale Institute and Patterdale.

A point to point 160 km mountain ultra from Patterdale to The Lion Inn following Wainwright’s Coast to Coast, with a 60 hour cut off, live tracking, staffed checkpoints, and ITRA endurance points.

A fully waymarked 20 kilometres trail race around Buttermere and Crummock Water with varied lakeshore, rocky and woodland terrain. Entry is limited, minimum age 17, and the event is organised under a Trail Running Association licence pendin..

April 2027

A 100 km coast to coast ultra across the Lake District with about 3,500 m of ascent, self sufficiency culture and staffed Aid Stations. The route is unmarked but supported with maps, GPX files and a transported finishers bag.

A 26 miles anti clockwise loop around Allendale, Northumberland, organised by North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team to raise funds. The route crosses Hard Rigg, Black Hill and Kilhope Law and returns via Spartylea, The Drag and Ladlewell.

A 300 km self supported ultra across northern England following Wainwright’s Coast to Coast from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay. The route crosses three National Parks and includes about 6,500 m of ascent.

A 46 mile mountain event across three Galloway ranges with over 4000 metres of ascent. Solo runners or teams of two to four use navigation skills and face variable terrain with three manned food checkpoints and MRT support.

A 32 km mountain race in the Galloway hills with 1850 m ascent, featuring ridges and summits such as Curleywee and Merrick. The course is marshalled and supported by Galloway Mountain Rescue and runs under SHR rules.

A 55 km ultra along Wainwright’s coast to coast route from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond on 4 April 2027. The event crosses the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales with mandatory kit checks, staffed aid stations and a transported finishers bag.

Trail running in Whinlatter forest on 4 April 2027 with two runnable courses of about 9 km and 12 km on wide forest tracks. Timed and marked routes allow dogs on suitable harnesses and borrowing kit is available.

Trail running in Hawkshead with marked 10 km and 16 km routes, scenic Lake District views and the steep Coffin Trail climb. Courses are marshalled with water stations, event village facilities and category prizes for eligible starters.

A trail running festival in Keswick on 10 April 2027 with two routes, 53k and 23k, across classic Lake District terrain. The event is TRA licensed and includes live ultra tracking, chip timing, photos and a themed medal.

A two day, 60 mile off road ultramarathon on the Isle of Arran covering coastal paths, forests and mountains including Goatfell and the Bog of Doom. The route is fully waymarked and supported with pit stops and professional medical cover.

A community charity relay at Haverthwaite Station near Ulverston with mixed teams formed on the day and an entry fee of £3 per person. Parking is at the station and a free train service is provided for runners and spectators.

Forest canicross in Dodd Wood with fully marked routes and views across Bassenthwaite Lake. Choose an 8K with 370 m ascent or a 5K with 210 m ascent. Chip timed and harnesses available to borrow.

At Beecraigs Country Park on 24 April 2027 runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop every hour until one completes a solo lap and becomes Last One Standing. Entry includes timing, camping access, parking for one vehicle and a finisher medal.

A 20.2 km fell race in Boot, Eskdale, on Sat 24 Apr 2027 with 1455 m of ascent, on-the-day entry for £10 and team entries allowed; the event carries FRA permit insurance and directs surplus entry funds to charity.

Final race of Lakeland Paws Season 5 at Whinlatter on 25 April 2027. Two marked trail options, 8K with about 360m ascent or 5K with about 240m, chip timed and dog friendly with harness rules and prize giving.

May 2027

Trail running at Staveley, Cumbria with 5 km, 10 km and half marathon routes on marked, marshalled trails, varied terrain and an event village offering music, food and merchandise.

A 90K UTMB Index 100K ultra along the historic Pilgrim Way from North Queensferry to St Andrews Cathedral. The fully marked route crosses towns such as Dunfermline and Ceres, includes 1,200 m of ascent and GPS tracking.
