Trail Running calendar near Wath Brow 2025-2026

Join the BOFRA championship in Kettlewell, Upper Wharfedale on 7 June 2026 for a classic fell race. Tackle a sharp climb to the skyline cairn before a fast descent over a short scree section, with entries available on the day.

Classic Lake District fell race from Howtown Bobbin Mill, testing runners over 13.3 miles with about 1400 m of climb across rugged terrain. Entry is on the day for £8 and limited to 100 starters so arrive early.

Tackle the Coppice fell race in Accrington on Tue 9 Jun 2026, a spirited 6.6 km course with 310 m of climb starting from the Whitakers Arms. Day entry only means it is ideal for last minute plans and teams are welcome.

Tackle the Walsh Two Lads fell race in Horwich on Thu 11 Jun 2026, a lively 5.2 mile loop through the South Pennines with roughly 900 feet of climb. Expect rugged trails, friendly competition and a cash prize for any new course record.

Explore Ullswater from Pooley Bridge on Saturday 13 June 2026 with a half marathon or 10km trail, live chip timing and bespoke finisher medals. Well behaved dogs welcome with harness and lead.

Tackle a short fell race on Flan Fell in Ulverston, with a sharp climb, great views and a punchy out and back finish. Family friendly with junior categories, a new 2025 course and easy on the day entry make this a perfect local challenge.

Join L100 Recce 4, a scenic 26 mile run from Pooley Bridge to Ambleside across classic Lake District climbs. For confirmed Lakeland 50 or 100 entrants only, the recce provides coach transport, medical support and checkpoints.

Tackle a 5 km Bowland fell race with a sharp 400 m climb that rewards strength and grit. Part of the Accrington series, it starts at the Whitakers Arms and offers on the day entries with a friendly club vibe.

A classic Borrowdale fell race starting outside Langstrath Country Inn, this 7.5 km route climbs 430 m over rough, partly navigational terrain with stunning tarn and valley views. Entries are on the day only and places are limited.

Tackle Beamsley Beacon on 18 June 2026 in Addingham, York Dales, an 8.8 km fell race with 335 m of climb, steep ascents and rewarding views. Entry is on the day for £5 with registration at St Peter's Church, teams welcome, minimum age 16.

The Kettlewell Half Marathon will take place in Arncliffe on Saturday 20 June 2026. You can run 21 kilometers.

Join the Darren Jones Clougha Pike fell race in Bowland, NW Lancs, a testing 4.9 mile route with about 400 m of climb and classic fell views. Pre entry only, with junior races and team scoring for a lively day out.

Take on the Fountains 10K in picturesque Grantley near Ripon, North Yorkshire, a single loop through Nidderdale's quiet lanes, trails and moorland. Enjoy undulating terrain, a lively village finish with music and a warm welcoming vibe.

Hawkswick Dash on Sunday 21 June 2026 in the Yorkshire Dales is a short, scenic fell race that climbs to a skyline ridge then drops back to the field in a thrilling finish. Entry on the day only with low fees and junior races.

Take on the Settle Hills Race on Sun 21 Jun 2026, an 11.3 km fell loop with 500 m climb and superb views to Pen Y Ghent. Starts in Settle Market Place with pre entry or entry on the day, marshals and finish refreshments.

Aggies Staircase is a tough Category AS fell race in Darwen on 23 June 2026, covering 6.4 km with 350 m of ascent and climbs up to Darwen Tower. Rugged moorland, a steep finale and stunning views await; pre entry is required.

Join Wild Deer Events for a summer trail run in Chopwell Woods with 5, 10 or 15 mile options, Canicross friendly and set on scenic woodland trails. Finish with a medal and a burger and beer to celebrate.

Take on the Kirkby Gala Fell Race in Kirkby in Furness, a BOFRA Championship counter that climbs to the windmill across scenic fields. Senior course is 3.45 miles / 6.00 km with 750 feet / 240 meters of ascent and includes junior categories..
