Trail Running calendar near Stocksfield 2025-2026

Take on the Lake District Ultra Challenge on 6 and 7 June 2026 with options from a 100 km loop to two day stages and shorter distances. Run through Garburn Pass, Ambleside and lakeside trails for epic views and rugged climbs.

Take part in the Samaritans Way Ultra on 6 June 2026 in Guisborough with 40 km and 60 km options, solo or relay. Fully supported course with updated routes and profits donated to Teesside Samaritans.

6 June 2026 Stanza Stones Summer Edition is a 24 hour 50 mile route across the South Pennines from Marsden to Ilkley visiting six poetic stones by Simon Armitage. Expect moorland climbs, indoor checkpoints and live tracking.

Join a scenic 100 km coastal ultra along Northumberland on 6 June 2026, starting in Bamburgh and finishing at Tynemouth Priory. Pass iconic harbours and castles, enjoy feed stations and a finishers medal, but places are limited.

Join the classic Pen Y Ghent Fell Race in Horton in Ribblesdale on 6 June 2026, a rugged 7.6 mile course with 612 m of climb offering stunning Yorkshire Dales views. Open to adults with pre entry or day entries and team entries welcome.

Take on the classic Ennerdale Horseshoe in the Lake District, a tough 23 mile fell race with big ascent and stunning mountain scenery. Entries are limited and on the day places may be available, creating a competitive scenic challenge.

The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon will take place in Threshfield on Saturday 6 June 2026. You can run 13 miles.

Join the BOFRA championship in Kettlewell, Upper Wharfedale on 7 June 2026 for a classic fell race. Tackle a sharp climb to the skyline cairn before a fast descent over a short scree section, with entries available on the day.

Classic Lake District fell race from Howtown Bobbin Mill, testing runners over 13.3 miles with about 1400 m of climb across rugged terrain. Entry is on the day for £8 and limited to 100 starters so arrive early.

Explore Ullswater from Pooley Bridge on Saturday 13 June 2026 with a half marathon or 10km trail, live chip timing and bespoke finisher medals. Well behaved dogs welcome with harness and lead.

Join Punk Panther on 13 June 2026 for the 6 Dales Trail from Otley to Pateley Bridge with 13, 20 and 32 mile options across scenic reservoirs and dales. Finishers receive a medal, event tee and hot food including vegan and GF options.

Tackle a short fell race on Flan Fell in Ulverston, with a sharp climb, great views and a punchy out and back finish. Family friendly with junior categories, a new 2025 course and easy on the day entry make this a perfect local challenge.

Join L100 Recce 4, a scenic 26 mile run from Pooley Bridge to Ambleside across classic Lake District climbs. For confirmed Lakeland 50 or 100 entrants only, the recce provides coach transport, medical support and checkpoints.

A classic Borrowdale fell race starting outside Langstrath Country Inn, this 7.5 km route climbs 430 m over rough, partly navigational terrain with stunning tarn and valley views. Entries are on the day only and places are limited.

Tebay Fell Race in the Lake District is a thrilling 13 km course with 914 m of climb across classic fell country, perfect for strong, adventurous runners. Entry on the day with showers and food at the Tebay Sports Social and Railway Club.

Join Stately Trails Forcett on 18 June at Forcett Park for scenic 5 km and 10 km trail runs through pasture and woodland. Fairly flat but may be muddy, this friendly event welcomes 5 km walkers and offers finish food.

Tackle Beamsley Beacon on 18 June 2026 in Addingham, York Dales, an 8.8 km fell race with 335 m of climb, steep ascents and rewarding views. Entry is on the day for £5 with registration at St Peter's Church, teams welcome, minimum age 16.

Tackle a tough summer variant of the Cheviot Goat with about 50 miles across the remote border hills and dramatic scenery. Runners get GPS trackers, 24 hours to finish, plus a race tee, medal and prizes for top finishers.
