Trail Running calendar near South Dalton 2026-2027

A five mile fell race in the Hayfield area featuring about 1850 ft of ascent, pre-entry only with online entries opening on 1 April. Registration is at the Scout Hut and the start is near Elle Bank; entrants must be over 18.

A 5.2 mile fell race on 16 May 2026 from Craven Arms in Appletreewick to Simons Seat and back, with about 1200 ft of climb. Entry is for over 18s and the £10 fee includes a drink at the finish.

A trail event with 10K and 10 Mile options across Holcombe Moor in collaboration with the National Trust. Routes start at Hare & Hounds and pass Peel Tower, Redisher Woods and other moorland features.

An off‑road marathon on 16 May 2026 along the Tissington and High Peak Trails finishing at Cromford Wharf. The festival also includes a half marathon from Friden and a 10K from Harborough Rocks.

A low key trail half marathon of about 13.2 miles around Black Hambleton and Silton Woods near Osmotherley, with a 3.5 hour time limit, limited to 50 entries, mandatory safety kit and one checkpoint plus finish refreshments.

A 26.2 mile walk and run around the White Peak village of Alstonefield with 4800 feet of ascent and descent, six manned checkpoints and finish food included; the event supports local good causes.

A traditional Peak District fell race in Youlgrave on Sunday 17 May 2026, covering about 5.8 miles of rough trails, fields and limestone descents. Pre-entry costs £6 and all profits go to Youlgrave Parish Council.

A community trail 10 km in Cookridge, Leeds on 17 May 2026. The seventh edition follows paths through Golden Acre Park and around Pauls Pond with limited baggage storage and a CC10K T shirt for participants.

Join the Calderdale Way Relay on Sun 17 May 2026 for a scenic but savage 80.5 km team challenge across the South West Pennines with 3660 m of climb. Teams of 12, pre entry only, runners run in pairs and strict kit rules apply.

Tackle a steep 3 km fell race up Shutlingsloe in the Peak District on Sun 17 May 2026 with 270 m of ascent for a short punchy challenge. On the day entry is available and the race is part of the Wildboarclough fete.

A short fell race from the field beside the Lantern Pike pub in Little Hayfield, running straight up Lantern Pike and back. Entry is on the day for seniors for a small fee and a separate shorter junior race follows the main event.

Smash Sherwood is a running event at Sherwood Pines Forest Park on 17 May 2026 offering 5k, 10k, 16k and a junior race with on-site parking, toilets and a café; finishers receive a medal and a t shirt.

Totley Moor is a fixed, marshalled 10.5 km Category B race on 19 May 2026 around Totley, Sheffield, featuring varied terrain and 440 m of climb, starting and finishing at the Totley AC pavilion.

A 3.5 mile fell race near Clitheroe with 1247 ft of ascent, on the partially marked Mearley Clough route. Entry on the day includes a pasta supper and prize vouchers, and under 18s need parental consent.

An undulating single-loop trail of about 10.5 Kilometres through the parkland of Rudding Park, Harrogate, supporting Mind in Harrogate. The event features on-course water, distance markers, a finish goody bag and post-race food and music.

Tackle a classic Pennine fell on Wed 20 May 2026 in Kildwick, starting at the White Lion. This punchy 6 km course with 245 m climb delivers steep ups, junior races and a friendly crowd; pre entry is available and parking is limited.

A 12 kilometre undulating trail race in Rodley, Leeds on 20 May 2026 featuring canal paths, Woodhall Hills and Calverley Woods with a unique split field where runners travel clockwise and anticlockwise on the same route.

A social *10 km* trail run from Kickback Coffee’s Bollington HQ with free coffee on arrival. The route includes stiles, steady climbs, and panoramic views across the Peak District and Manchester.

The Locomotion Trail 10k will take place in Newton Aycliffe on Wednesday 20 May 2026. You can run 10 kilometers.

A 7 hour timed trail event in Durham along the River Wear with looped laps from a 3 km minimum. Finishers receive a themed medal and goody bag and distance pins are available for half marathon and longer.
