Holcombe 10 takes place on Saturday 16 May 2026 at the Hare & Hounds, 400 Bolton Rd West, Holcombe Brook, Ramsbottom (BL0 9RY). The event is organised by The Sunnywood Project. Entries open 28 January 2025 and close 1 May 2026. Minimum entry age is 18. Entries so far are listed as 55 participants. Entry fees are £25 for the 10K and £28 for the 10 Mile.

Course, services and kit

The event offers two off-road race routes that pass through local woods, bridleways and moorland managed by the National Trust. From the Hare & Hounds the route crosses Redisher Woods, climbs to Peel Tower, follows bridleways and goes onto the moor by Beetle Hill. The 10K contours to Pilgrims Cross, crosses Harcles Hill and descends via Redisher Wood Nature Reserve. The 10 Mile contours around Bull Hill, passes Crowthorn and Quarlton Heights, crosses Red Brook and ascends to Pilgrims Cross before rejoining the finishing route.

Water stations are provided at Peel Tower and at the National Trust ranger base at Chatterton Close. Finishers receive a memento. The organiser lists a minimum recommended kit including waterproof jacket and trousers, spare warm layer, hat and gloves, ability to carry 500 ml water, charged mobile with mapping app, suitable trail shoes, foil blanket, whistle and personal food.
