Legless 5K Beer Challenge : Bowdon Rugby Club, 30 May 2026
The Legless 5K Beer Challenge is a social running event that combines a measured course with drink stations and obstacles. The main course is a 5 km route made of two laps of a 2.5 km circuit that passes through fields, woodland and paths. The event also lists a 3 km option.
Drink stations are positioned during the course with beer, water, cider, Prosecco and wine available; drinks are provided roughly every kilometre and participants are permitted up to five drinks each. Inflatable and non inflatable obstacles are placed on the route, including a tyre run, walk the line, hay bales, an inflatable course and a crawler.
Participants must be 18 or older and ID will be checked at registration. The venue offers free onsite parking, and the nearest train and tram stations are under ten minutes drive away. Facilities at the clubhouse include toilets, changing rooms and showers, and food will be available from Bowdon Rugby Club. A bag drop area is provided but is unattended and items are left at the owner’s risk. Marshals in high visibility clothing will be present and a first aid team will be on standby. Spectators are welcome and there is accessible spectator provision for wheelchairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
