Legless 5K Beer Challenge

The Legless 5K Beer Challenge is an event at Bowdon Rugby Club that combines a run or walk with on-course drinking stations and obstacle sections. Participants follow a circuit through fields, woodland and footpaths around the club and complete laps to reach the chosen distance.

Distances:

  • 3 km
  • 5 km (two laps of a 2.5 km circuit)

Drinking stations are provided approximately every kilometre and offer beer, water, cider, Prosecco and wine. Drinks are included as part of the entry and each participant is permitted up to five drinks during the event. Inflatable and non-inflatable obstacles are placed along the route; listed features include a tyre run, walk the line, hay bales, an inflatable course and a crawler. All participants receive a completion medal and team names can be added at registration.

Onsite facilities include free parking, toilets, changing rooms and showers in the clubhouse. Bowdon Rugby Club will offer a selection of hot and cold food. A bag drop area is available but not supervised. Event safety provisions include marshals in high visibility clothing and a first aid team with access to all areas of the course. Only participants aged 18 and over may take part and ID is checked at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
