Trail Running calendar near Scarborough 2026-2027

A trail half marathon in the North York Moors on 16 August 2026 with an ascent of Roseberry Topping, a five hour cut off and places limited to 50 runners.

A 7-mile undulating multi-terrain trail race in Leeds on 23 August 2026, organised by Valley Striders AC, running through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park with fundraising for St Gemma's Hospice.

A Backyard Ultra style 12 hour event at Cadwell Park where runners complete a 6.7 km lap each hour for a potential total of 80.4 km. Categories include solo and pairs plus a six hour non competitive option.

Rumble In The Jumble V is a six hour challenge in Penistone with out-and-back laps along an old railway line, offering distances from 5K to ultra. Aid stations, a choice of medals and a goody bag are provided.

Take on the Trunce 8, a classic Peak District fell race starting and finishing at Oxspring Playing Field. The 6.2 km route climbs 190 m and entry is on the day for £3, with a junior 3 km race for over 10s at £1.

Tackle Roseberry Topping on Wed 26 Aug 2026 in this classic short fell race hosted from Newton under Roseberry. Expect a punchy 2.3 km course with big climb and great views, junior entries welcome and on the day entry available.

Pop up trail running event in Kirkstall with 5 km and 10 km races, licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules, with food and a jumble medal for runners.

A 10 km multi-terrain trail race through Derwent Walk Country Park on 29 August 2026 with chip timing, finisher medals, on-site food and age-category prizes.
