Two winter races from Great Owl Running on 24 January 2026 at Kirkstall Bridge. A roughly 16 km multi terrain route follows the canal and River Aire while a 10 km out and back runs along the canal.

The North of England Cross Country Championships come to Pontefract Race Course on 24 January 2026, with races for U13 to senior athletes on a challenging parkland course. Chip timing and club colours required, entries close 18 January.
