Meanwood Valley Trail Race 2026
The Meanwood Valley Trail Race, organised by Valley Striders AC, takes place on Sunday 23 August 2026 in Alwoodley and Meanwood, Leeds, West Yorkshire. The event is a one-lap, multi-terrain trail race with an entry limit of 450.
The course is undulating and covers approximately 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park. The route passes under the Seven Arches, by the feature known as the "Slabbering Baby" and through the tunnel beneath the Leeds Outer Ring Road. The race starts and finishes at Old Leo's Rugby Club.
Entry fees are listed as £18 for affiliated club members and £20 for unaffiliated entrants, and entries close at 11am on Saturday 22 August. On-the-day entry may be available at higher rates. Prizes are awarded to the first three finishers (male and female) and in male and female age groups 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75+ based on chip times.
Facilities at the race headquarters include water, toilets, changing, showers and baggage storage. Refreshments are available at Leo's after the race. Parking at the venue is limited.
