Meanwood Valley Trail Race 2026
The Meanwood Valley Trail Race, organised by Valley Striders AC, takes place on Sunday 23rd August 2026 in Alwoodley and Meanwood, Leeds, West Yorkshire. The route is an undulating, multi terrain single lap of approximately 7 miles through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park.
Landmarks on the course include one of the "Seven Arches", the feature known as the Slabbering Baby and the tunnel under the Leeds Outer Ring Road. The race starts and finishes at Old Leo's Rugby Club and is chip timed for overall and age group placings. Prizes are awarded to the first three finishers male and female and in male and female age groups 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75+ based on chip times.
Entry is limited to 450 places. Affiliated entry fee is £18 and unaffiliated entry fee is £20. Entries close 11am on Saturday 22nd August 2026. Entry on the day is available at a higher fee if places remain; on the day fees are £21 affiliated and £23 unaffiliated.
Facilities at Race HQ, Old Leo's, include water, toilets, changing rooms, showers and baggage storage. Refreshments are available at Leo's after the race. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs and trail or fell shoes are strongly recommended. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
