Meanwood Valley Trail Race 2026
The Meanwood Valley Trail Race, organised by Valley Striders Athletics Club, takes place on Sunday 23rd August 2026 around Alwoodley and Meanwood in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The route covers approximately 7 miles of multi-terrain trail through Adel Woods, Scotland Woods and Meanwood Park, passing local landmarks such as the Seven Arches and the Slabbering Baby and running through a tunnel under the Leeds Outer Ring Road. The course is undulating and is run as a single lap.
Race HQ is at Old Leo's Rugby Club, Crag Lane, Leeds LS17 5PR. Facilities listed for the event include water, toilets, changing rooms, showers and baggage storage. Refreshments are available at Leo's after the race. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Trail or fell shoes are strongly recommended. The field has an entry limit of 450 places; entries were noted as having 395 places remaining at the time of posting. Entry categories include affiliated and unaffiliated options, with fees shown as £18.00 for affiliated club members and £20.00 for unaffiliated entrants. Entry on the day is possible for an additional fee, and entries close on Saturday 22nd August.
