Watergate at Whitehills 5K

Watergate at Whitehills is a community running event organised by Low Fell Running Club at Whitehills Nature Park, Wrekenton, Great Britain, on 20 August 2026. The programme includes a senior 5 km race and a junior race of approximately 2.5 km.

The course is a fast, flat two lap route on gravel trails on the site of Wrekenton XC, arranged to avoid the hills. The event has chip timing for 2026 and is held in accordance with UKA rules. The 5 km senior race also serves as the NEMAA 5 km Championship race. The senior race has a minimum age of 15 years on race day. Junior races are organised into U10, U12, U14 and U16 categories.

Entry prices are listed as follows: senior affiliated £18 and unaffiliated £20; under 18 entries £6 affiliated or £8 unaffiliated. Junior entry is £6 affiliated or £8 unaffiliated. Entry on the day is possible for an additional £2 if places remain. All senior finishers receive a T shirt and junior finishers receive a medal. Race numbers are transferable until 19/05/26.
