Trail Running calendar near Rolvenden 2026-2027

A 50 kilometre trail ultramarathon from Dorking along the Greensand Way through the Surrey Hills AONB, including climbs of Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill and Pitch Hill. Well signed and supported with aid stations, timing and a finisher medal.

A 10 km trail championship at Wendover Woods on 6 December 2026, limited to 200 invited runners who meet qualifying criteria. The course has 295 m of elevation, route marking, chip timing and age category awards.

A 200 mile continuous trail run around southern England from Juniper Hall, held 9 to 13 December 2026. Runners have up to 96 hours, live tracking, crew access and three major aid stations with hot food and sleeping facilities.

Join the Christmas Jumper Friday Run on 11 December in Walton on Thames for a relaxed rock up and run along the riverside towpath. Pick 5k to ultra, run laps within a 7 hour window and earn a bespoke finisher medal.

A festive midweek time challenge on the River Thames with flexible starts and distances from a 3 km minimum up to 50 km. Medals, distance pins and goody bags are provided, with aid stations and a mix of path and light trail surfaces.

A 100 mile winter point to point trail across the South Downs and North Downs with a 35 hour limit, three aid stations, mandatory winter kit and a field limited to about 100 runners.

A lap based off road event at Shalford Park offering distances from 3.14 to 31.4 miles plus a one mile fun run for children. Junior lap limits, car parking and course warnings are provided by the organisers.

Join a festive Christmas run along the flat Jubilee River. Choose your own distance in this 6-hour timed event on a scenic towpath. All finishers receive a bespoke festive medal.

A festive cross country event in Pett, East Sussex on 19 December 2026 with a five mile loop, a two mile fun run and a junior scurry. The race supports Shelter and includes medals, photos and prizes for fancy dress.

A dawn to dusk winter trail challenge at Box Hill in Dorking on 19 December 2026. Runners complete a roughly 10 mile loop with about 2,400 ft climb per lap and may stop after any completed lap.

A 50 km winter trail event on the North Downs Way from Detling to Wye with about 1,000 m of ascent, three checkpoints and mandatory kit checks. The route passes Boxley Warren, Thurnham Castle, Lenham Cross and the Wye Downs.

Festive trail runs at Wendover Woods on 20 December 2026, with a Family Santa Mile and 5- and 10-mile races; finishers receive medals and seasonal treats. Entry fees range from £14 to £29.

A seven hour Time Challenge along the River Thames in Egham with flexible distances from 3 km to 50 km, signed laps, medals, distance pins and goody bags, plus a Christmas dinner aid table and a small present for finishers.

A traditional 3.5 mile Boxing Day run around Hindhead commons and the Devils Punch Bowl, with Mens, Ladies and a Drinking Run category. All profits support Holy Cross Hospital.

Winter X is a mid-winter trail-running event in the Meon Valley offering 10, 30, 50 and 70 km on marked public trails with checkpoints and post-event food. Entries for 2025 are closed; a provisional date for 2026 is 28 December 2026.

A year-end cross-country event at Butlers Lands Farm featuring water crossings, Roman walls, fields and footpaths. Two routes are offered and entry includes a medal, engraved iTAB, free photos and chip timing.

Winter Runderland in Walton on Thames is a timed lap event on a 5.3 km riverside towpath course. Runners may select distances from 5 km up to ultra, and a lower-cost no-medal entry option is available.

A New Year trail race at Box Hill with an exact 10.000 km route, 473 m of ascent and rough tracks offering steep sections and wide views. Registration and parking are at Denbies Vineyard and headphones are not permitted.
