Surrey Ultra Mountain Marathon

West Clandon, United Kingdom • 8 May 2027

2nd Surrey Ultra Mountain Marathon

The event is a two day, two person team self-supported navigation and endurance challenge based at Newlands Corner in the Surrey Hills (Drove Rd, Newland's Corner, Albury, Guildford GU4 8SE). It runs over a weekend and finishes at the same location where it starts.

Teams of two only are permitted, with a maximum of 20 teams. Competitors must carry all equipment and supplies needed for the weekend, including camping gear, cooking gear and fuel, and all food. Camping on site is basic; hot and cold water, showers and toilets are available. The campsite is a working farm and may be noisy overnight due to livestock and other groups.

Scoring is by visiting virtual controls in the Surrey Hills. Competitors have timed sessions on each day to gain as many points as possible; everyone starts at the same time on both days and is expected to finish at the same time in principle. Entry is charged per team; the listed price includes camping, maps, a t-shirt and the first beer in camp. The organiser is Trionium. Participation is at each entrant's own risk and there is no event insurance, medical coverage or repatriation provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
