Event Overview

The Oliver Fisher 10K & 5K is an off-road running event held at Milton Creek Country Park in Sittingbourne, Kent. The race utilizes a trail course consisting of stone trails and natural terrain within the park grounds. The event raises funds for The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust, a charity that supports the Neonatal Unit at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.

Participants can choose from several distance options:

  • 10 km - Open to runners aged 15 and over.
  • 5 km - Open to entrants aged 11 and over.
  • Junior Run - A dedicated event for children and families.

Course and Facilities

The routes feature scenic views and are entirely traffic-free, taking place within the park's landscape. The terrain includes some hills and off-road sections. For the 10 km distance, pacers are provided to help runners manage their speed.

All participants receive a bespoke medal upon completion. Trophies and prizes are awarded to leading runners. The event includes free professional photographs for participants, and there is an opportunity to purchase a race t-shirt.

Practical Information

Free on-site parking is available at the venue via Saffron Way, though spaces are limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The car park has a height barrier of 6ft 6in. The park is accessible via several entrances, including Green Porch Close and Gas Road, with RADAR key access available for wheelchair users at specific gates. Join an off road 5k trail race through Westley Heights Country Park and Willow Park. This measured course features a mix of bridleways and tarmac sections for a true countryside running experience.

Participate in a self navigation trail race through the Felsted countryside as part of a four day Easter series. Choose between five and nine mile routes using written directions for a unique timing based challenge.

Join the third day of the Easter Eggstravaganza Trail Series for a self navigated run through Little Baddow. Choose between five or eleven mile routes using written directions followed by refreshments at the cricket pavilion.

A limited capacity evening trail run of 5 miles for over 18s with the course run in reverse from previous years. Route files are provided beforehand and finishers can exchange their race number at the bar for a drink.
