Thames Path 100
The Thames Path 100 is a 100 mi continuous trail race that follows the Thames Path from Richmond in South West London to the centre of Oxford. The point to point route records about 1 900 ft (560 m) of climb and is described as largely flat and fast, with approximately 75% on trail and 25% paved or riverside paths. The event is organised under an official UKA permit through the Trail Running Association.
Race headquarters are at Richmond Old Town Hall with the start on Richmond New Waterfront and the finish at Queen's College Sports Ground in Oxford near the city centre. The event has a 30 hour overall cutoff and a field limit of around 300 starters. Entry details include an entry fee of £220 and a qualification requirement of a completed 50 mile race within 15 hours between 1 January 2020 and race day.
There are at least twelve aid stations along the route providing drinks, gels and snacks; hot drinks begin at Hurley and hot food is available at Henley, Goring and at the finish. Drop bags are permitted to specified aid stations and finish collection has stated size limits. Pacers may join from the 51 mile aid station at Henley and must travel on foot; multiple pacers are allowed but only one may accompany a runner at a time. A dedicated medical team is present during the event and runners must carry mandatory kit listed by the organiser, with penalties for missing items.
