Roach Valley Way Charity Relay

The Roach Valley Way Relay is a stage trail run following written descriptions, maps, and footpath way markers along the Roach Valley Way long distance footpath. The full route covers 23 miles in total and is run in four legs with four runners per team. The event is scheduled for Sunday 2rd May 2027.

Each stage is treated as a standalone trail run with its own start time and marshal coordinators. There will be minimal marshals on the route and runners are responsible for navigating using the Roach Valley signage and the route maps and descriptions provided online and at each stage start. Additional signage will be placed to supplement existing way markers where needed.

Roving marshals will manage road crossings and place caution runner signs to warn traffic. Each stage marshal team will book teams in at the start of the leg, provide roving marshals as required, time each leg and record finish positions and times, and confirm all teams have been accounted for before closing the leg. Stage marshals will remain in contact with the overall event coordinator.

Scoring awards 1 point to the first team on each leg, 2 points to second, and so on. The team with the lowest total score over the four legs wins; in the event of a tie the fastest overall time decides the result. All proceeds are donated to Havens Hospices. The event holds an England Athletics race licence number 30843. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
