Nuclear Rush

Nuclear Rush is an outdoor muddy obstacle course set on the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Essex. The event runs on permanent farmland terrain that includes mud, woods, rivers and lakes and features a mix of natural and man made obstacles.

Participants can choose between two main course distances:

  • 6 km course with 40+ obstacles across farmland, woodlands and lakes.
  • 12 km course with 70+ obstacles across extended farmland, woodland and water features.

Signature obstacles include the Deathslide, Travelator and multi‑lane zip wires into water, as well as para‑plunge style zip lines. Races are chip timed and finishers receive a medal and a free finisher photo. Support facilities listed for participants include hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free bag drop and a free car park. There is no penalty for skipping obstacles, so participants may choose which obstacles to attempt.

The event operates an event village for spectators with music, food, drinks and merchandise. Races are described as group and team friendly and there are group entry offers. Separate family and children formats exist under the Family and Rookie Rush banner, with age minimums stated for adult races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
