Nuclear Rush

Nuclear Rush is a muddy obstacle course event held at the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood, Essex. The event runs adult and family categories across varied terrain that includes farmland, woodlands, rivers and lakes. Courses feature both natural and man-made obstacles with water zones where buoyancy aids are available.

Adult course options:

• 6 km: approximately 40+ obstacles; ages 13+ (13–15 require adult accompaniment)
• 12 km: approximately 70+ obstacles; ages 16+

Signature elements include the Deathslide, travelator and multi-lane zip wires into water, among other notable obstacles. Races are chip timed and include a finishers medal, free finishers photo, free bag drop, hot washdowns, changing facilities and free parking. Participants may skip obstacles without penalty.

The event operates a spectator-friendly event village with music, food, drinks and merchandise and supports group entries and team participation. Family and children formats are offered separately, with shorter distances and a focus on shared outdoor activity and accessible obstacles.
