Nuclear Rush is an obstacle course racing event held at the Secret Nuclear Bunker Estate in Brentwood, Essex. The permanent course is set across diverse terrain, including muddy farmland, woodlands, rivers, and lakes. Participants encounter a variety of natural and man-made obstacles, with no penalties enforced for skipping individual challenges.

The event offers several distances and categories:

  • 6 km: Includes over 40 obstacles and is open to participants aged 13 and older.
  • 12 km: Features more than 70 obstacles for participants aged 16 and older.
  • Rush Oblivion Storm (38 km+): A multi-lap endurance challenge for participants aged 18 and older, involving 4 laps of the 12 km course and functional fitness stations.
  • Rush Rookies (1.5 km or 3 km): Designed for children and teenagers aged 4 to 14, with 25 to 50+ obstacles.
  • Rush Family (1.5 km or 4 km): Dedicated waves for groups to complete obstacles together, including the deathslide on the longer course.

Signature features of the course include a 20-foot Deathslide, a Travelator, and a 15-lane zip-wire into water. All participants are chip-timed, and the venue provides facilities such as a free car park, bag drop, changing areas, and hot washdowns after the race. Buoyancy aids are available for water-based obstacles. An event village on-site offers music, food, and drink for spectators and participants.
