Trail Running calendar near Rivelin 2026-2027

A six hour lap-based trail event at Coombe Abbey Park near Coventry, using a 3.3 mile loop through woodland and meadow. Options include a medal or a tree token, rucking is allowed and dogs are not permitted.

A night trail 10k at Coombe Abbey Park requiring a head or chest torch, with varied off road terrain, Petzl demo kit, on course refreshments in biodegradable cups, and charity and tree planting options.

An uphill only 10 km race from central Ruthin to the Jubilee Tower on Moel Famau, finishing above 550 metres. After the race a short walk leads to Bwlch Penbarras for medals and an optional bus back to Ruthin.

Rowbotham's Round Rotherham is a long distance trail event around South Yorkshire with solo and relay options over 80 km or 50 miles. The undulating route includes about 800 m of climb and is based at the Manvers Waterfront Boat Club.

A Peak District walking event in Buxton on 3 October 2026 with long and short routes through Axe Edge, Goyt Valley and Shining Tor. Organised by High Peak LDWA with checkpoints, refreshments and parking at the school.

A 35 mile circular ultra from Studley Roger that follows the northern Ripon Rowel through trail, woodland and moorland. The route includes four staffed checkpoints, a 10 hour time limit and mandatory kit requirements.

A 15.2 km fell race in the Peak District with 490 m of climb, held at Curbar Primary School on 3 October 2026. Pre-entry is required and proceeds go to Curbar Primary School.

A coastal off road race from Peasholm Park in Scarborough along the historic Cinder Track. Distances from 5K to marathon, water stations about every 3 miles, on the day bib collection and a Grim Bling finisher medal.

A club organised 12 km fell race with about 490 m of ascent around Old Town, Hebden Bridge, including a flagged section through the private Castle Carr estate. Pre-entry is required and strict FRA kit rules apply.

A cross country meeting near Thorpe and Dovedale with a **4 3/4 mile** main race through valleys of the Dove and Manifold and a **1 1/4 mile** Mini Dash for U12s that reaches the Stepping Stones.

A long trail race around Swaledale that starts and finishes at The Dales Bike Centre, featuring moorland tracks, GPX navigation and a post race hot meal. A half marathon short course option is available for redirected runners.

A 22 km trail race along the East Yorkshire coast on 4 October 2026, starting and finishing on Bridlington seafront. The route passes Sewerby, Danes Dyke and Flamborough headland, with trophies, age category prizes and a unique finisher med..

A junior fell running race in the Pennines for ages 6 and up. The 2 km course starts near a classic pub. Entry is available on the day.

A traffic free one lap 5K through Roundhay Park that passes the lake and climbs to the Mansion House. Entries are limited to 300, chip timing is provided and finishers receive medals and individual prizes.

MacTuffX Brierley Hill on 4 October 2026 offers solo and team interval formats of ten repeated efforts over 400m or 800m, with entry restricted to those aged 18 or older and fees set per participant or per team.

Castle Carr is a 24 km fell race in the South/West Pennines near Hebden Bridge on 4 October 2026, with about 1200 m of ascent and official FRA permit and insurance.

A headtorch trail event at Swinsty Moor Car Park with half marathon, 10 km and 5 km routes around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs. Water points, untaped course and a medal for every finisher.
