A low-key fell race on 4 July 2026 at Oakworth Gala Field covering 9 km with 250 m of climb, held alongside a local gala with stalls and children's fun races.

Pretty Muddy 5k at Heaton Park is a 5 km obstacle course across grass, paths and woodland with climbing, crawling and muddy slides. Participants must be 13 or older; facilities include toilets, refreshments and event parking.

On a Plod MCR on 4 July at Steel Foundry CrossFit in Salford Quays is an inclusive backyard ultra on a 3 km loop. Participants may start anytime within a five hour window and run as many laps as they choose with live tracking and awards.
