Manchester Pretty Muddy 5k

Manchester Pretty Muddy is a 5 kilometre obstacle event held at Heaton Park on Saturday 4 July 2026. The course combines grass, surfaced paths and woodland trails and includes sections with various elevations. The start, finish and event site are on predominantly flat grass.

Participants must be 13 years or older. Entry fees shown are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children. The event has a minimum fundraising target of £50.00. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course; groups should book the same wave.

The meeting point and start line are in The Bowl area at the bottom of Heaton Hall, near the Boating Lake. Event parking is available at the Lakeside Car Park on Sheepfoot Lane with pay and display charges of £3.50 per hour; from there it is about a 5 to 10 minute walk along a surfaced path to the site. The Metrolink stop just outside Heaton Park is the closest public transport entrance. Cycle racks are at the visitor centre, a 5 to 10 minute walk away. There are no electric vehicle charging points at the venue.

Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Sunflower wristbands, a stage BSL interpreter and a QR code will be available for accessibility needs. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, community support and a Race for Life medal on completion.
