Trail Running calendar near Patterdale 2026-2027

A 50 km or 100 km ultramarathon around Hebden Bridge with contrasting Red and White Rose loops that mix moorland, woodland and roads; HQ in Old Town serves as mid-way checkpoint with hot food and drop bag support.

An inflatable obstacle run in Leeds on 19 June 2027 offering 2.5k, 5k, 10k and 15k lap-based courses with large inflatables, music zones, a midcourse water station and a finisher's medal for every participant.

A 5 mile multi-terrain run at Bolton Abbey Estate on 21 June 2027 raising funds for Sue Ryder. Chip timing and a bespoke medal are included; a virtual entry with medal posted is available.

A 12K obstacle course at Bramham Ln, Wetherby on 26 June 2027 featuring 25 obstacles and event extras such as a finishers T shirt and a Victory Beer. A double lap option is available to complete 24K.

Three route options radiate from Kettlewell village across the Wharfedale valley, from a 4.5 mile family walk to 17 miles with three peaks. The event is run by Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association as an annual fundraiser for the rescue..

The The Cragg Challenge will take place in Mytholmroyd on Sunday 27 June 2027. You can run between 5 and 10 miles.

The Tor Mile will take place in Helmshore on Monday 28 June 2027.

July 2027

A guided trail running weekend in Horton in Ribblesdale tackling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks over a 38.6 km route with 1585 m ascent. Includes bunkhouse accommodation, guided runs and an optional 10 km recovery loop on the Pennine Way.

A trail running event in Teesdale on 4 July 2027 offering 3.5, 9 and 15 mile waymarked routes over rolling, off road terrain. The event includes marshals, aid stations, finish mementos, free photos and optional post-run yoga.

Looped trail event in Masham on 5 July 2026 offering 3 hour and 6 hour options where runners complete as many laps as they can within the time limit. Trail and road terrain, feed stations, marshals, a bespoke medal and post race treats.

A course-marked mountain race from Patterdale covering 57 km with 3700 m ascent, featuring ridge running, Striding and Swirral Edges, and GPS tracking. Entry requires a minimum age of 19 and the event awards ITRA/UTMB points.

A technical *28 km* skyrace with 2700 m of ascent around Helvellyn near Patterdale on 17 July 2027. The route includes hands on rock sections and scrambling and requires demonstrated mountain and climbing experience to enter.

September 2027

An eight hour loop event at Rivington Pike where participants run as many 5 km laps as they can on a mixed road and trail course with about 204 m ascent per lap. Results record laps, distance and time and every finisher gets a medal.

A supported 100 mile ultramarathon on the Cheshire Ring in the United Kingdom on 25 and 26 September 2027, part of the GB Ultras 100 mile series with live online GPS tracking via GB Race Tracker.

November 2027

An 11 km fell race on Burley Moor with 250 m of climb in Burley-in-Wharfedale on 6 November 2027. Open to adults 18 and over with pre-entry and on-the-day entry; team and junior entries are not included.

May 2028

MTC GLAISTIG is a 31.3 mile single day ultra from Innerleithen to Travelodge Edinburgh Airport. It is day two of the nine day MTC SCOTIA series, limited to 40 runners, with mandatory kit, tracking and a finisher medal.

June 2028

A limited-entry night staging of the Pendle Way from Barley offering mapped checkpoints and navigation practice. Participants choose between 30 miles or 45 miles across moorland terrain with required navigation and night kit.

July 2029

A single day *38 mile* ultra from Gretna Green to Penrith, the MTC Boggart is Day 1 of the thirteen day MTC ALBION series. Entries are limited and the event enforces a minimum 4.0 mph average with a specified mandatory kit list.

A 38.1 mile ultra from Lancaster to Wigan that is Day 3 of the MTC ALBION end to end series, limited to 40 entrants. The event includes checkpoint food, a mandatory kit list, tracking with SOS and a bespoke finisher medal.

A single-day ultra of about 35.5 miles from Wigan to Tarporley, run as Day 4 of the MTC ALBION end to end series. Field is limited and the race enforces a 4.0 mph minimum pace; navigation, tracking and mandatory kit are required.
