MTC GLAISTIG

MTC GLAISTIG is a single day ultra running event scheduled for 28 May 2028 that covers a total distance of 31.3 miles. The route starts at the Traquair Arms Hotel in Innerleithen and finishes at the Travelodge Edinburgh Airport. The race is also Day 2 of the nine day MTC SCOTIA end to end challenge, so competitors may be running alongside SCOTIA entrants.

Entry is limited to 20 race places with an additional allowance of 20 for SCOTIA competitors, giving a maximum of 40 starters. Entry fees are shown as £90 for standard entry and £155 for the Plus Race Package, which includes an embroidered race shirt and a lightweight hi‑viz jacket if ordered at least four weeks before the event. All deposits and payments are non refundable; a personal cancellation insurance option is offered at checkout and a defer option is available for a fee.

The event uses preset cut off points based on a minimum average speed of 4 mph and competitors who fall below this requirement may be withdrawn. Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants only, issued by email approximately four weeks before the race. The organiser supplies a tracking device with live tracking and an SOS function. The event is cup free so competitors must bring a reusable cup. All finishers receive a bespoke GLAISTIG medal and male and female champions will receive trophies.
