Cheshire Ring Ultra 100
The Cheshire Ring Ultra 100 is a 102 mile ultramarathon in the Manchester region with 345 m of elevation and 250 race places. Scheduled for Saturday 26th September 2026, the event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics rules. There is a 30 hour overall cut off. Entry fees are listed as £209 unaffiliated and £207 for affiliated runners. The allocation of ITRA and UTMB points is to be confirmed.
The route links several canals including the Bridgewater, Ashton, Rochdale, Peak Forest, Trent and Mersey, and Macclesfield canals. The course is waymarked and a GPX file is available. GB Race Tracker provides live online GPS tracking with periodic location updates; the tracker remains the property of the tracker provider and must be returned after the race, with a replacement charge if lost.
The race uses 11 checkpoints staffed by the organiser. Checkpoint provisions include drinks, snacks, vegan and vegetarian options, and hot food at village hall locations. Medical cover or first aiders will be present. Checkpoint cut off times are enforced and runners may be instructed to withdraw if cut offs are missed.
Entry requires competitors to be at least 20 years old and to have completed a prior organised ultramarathon of at least 50 miles. Pacers are permitted from the halfway checkpoint onward, with one pacer per runner and specific self sufficiency requirements. Support crew access is restricted at some checkpoints and limited parking rules apply. Dropbags are permitted at two specified checkpoints and must meet size and weight limits. A list of mandatory kit is enforced and random kit checks will take place. Awards include gold, silver and bronze 100 mile buckles for finish position bands and prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers.
