Logistics, kit and rules
Competitor numbers are limited to 20, with an additional allowance of 20 places for ALBION entrants (maximum 40). Cut-off times are set so that competitors must maintain an average of 4.0 mph; falling below this minimum can lead to warning and withdrawal. Entrants must be at least 20 years old on the race day. The event is cup-free; competitors should bring a reusable cup.
Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone and a basic first aid kit. Organisers provide a tracking device with an SOS function and will email maps and GPX files to entrants four weeks before the event. Entry fees are listed as £90 for the race and £155 for the race package that includes a race shirt and hi-viz jacket (clothing guarantee requires ordering at least four weeks before the event). All finishers receive a Boggart medal; male and female champions receive trophies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
