Trail Running calendar near Osmotherley 2025-2026

Take on a tough winter ultra through the wild Cheviot hills on a roughly 55 mile loop that challenges experienced runners with changeable conditions and a 24 hour cutoff. All finishers receive a GPS tracker, t shirt and medal.

The Mytholmroyd Fell Race on Sunday 7 December 2025 offers a tough 6 mile route with 500 m ascent across classic Pennine terrain near Hebden Bridge. Pre entry and full FRA kit are required.

Join the WILD DEER running session at Land of Oak & Iron on 7 December 2025 for a 75 minute coached workout suitable for all abilities. Expect interval work, hill efforts and varied running over 5 to 7 miles with a friendly group vibe.

Lakeland Paws Grizedale Growl on 7 December 2025 in Grizedale Forest offers scenic 5K and 10K runs on forest roads and trails with views over Coniston Water. Chip timed and dog friendly with up to two dogs per runner, event is full.

The The Beacon Bash will take place in Appley Bridge on Sunday 7 December 2025. You can run 20 miles.

Take on Moors The Merrier 21, a 21 mile circular fell race around Hebden Bridge on 13 December 2025 that tests navigation and rewards moorland views. Limited to 275 pre entry places, and yes a Santa hat and a present are required.

Join the Valhalla Winter Run, a timed six hour trail on a 2.2 mile undulating out and back loop at York University. Run a lap, a marathon distance or keep going for six hours and enjoy a bespoke medal, goody bag and festive treats.
