Trail Running calendar near New Forest District 2026-2027

A one lap trail fun run on private farmland near Blandford Forum, held alongside the Bell Plod with a separate medal. Limited to 100 entrants, minimum age four, with a weekend camping option.

A two lap, undulating trail event on privately owned farmland near Blandford Forum. The Apple Plod 10K.ish welcomes runners and walkers, has limited entry, and offers optional camping over the weekend.

Wye Valley Tunnel Run on 19 July 2026 features fun runs plus 10 km, half marathon and marathon routes that use the Wye Valley Greenway and long tunnel. Courses are well marked with feed stations and event medals.

A trail event at Pippingford Park Manor offering 10 mile and 5 mile options on hard packed forest trails with about 1568 ft of climbing. The route includes notable climbs and descents, bespoke medals for finishers and free parking.

A hilly multi loop trail event around Holmbury Hill offering a half marathon and a same day 10 mile option, with six drink stations, first aid support, free parking, and a commemorative medal for finishers.

A chip-timed five mile trail race through Queen Elizabeth Country Park on Sunday 19 July, held in the club's 50th anniversary year. Entries are limited and a non-refundable booking fee applies.

Tour of the Woods on 19 July at Knightwood Leisure Centre is a 10 km mixed terrain run split into five stages, with chip timing, prizes and a kids Twiglet Tour. Portions of proceeds support the Woodland Trust.

A 7 hour timed riverside challenge near Egham with flexible start options, themed medals from 3 km and goody bags for finishers. The signed course is mainly on paths and tarmac with aid stations each lap.

A Friday running event on a flat 5.3 km out-and-back riverside lap near Walton on Thames offering distances from 5 km to ultra and finishers' medals including spinning Rubber Ducky designs.

A timed, lap format run along The Itchen Way in Winchester with a professionally measured, permitted course. Runners may complete multiple 2.62 mile laps up to ultra distance and receive a bespoke finisher's medal and aid station provisions..

Trail races of 12K, 25K and 50K start from Queen Elizabeth Country Park and follow sections of the South Downs Way with grassy tracks and chalk downland. Routes are waymarked and supported by marshals, aid stations and chip timing.

Bright Skies Surrey Hills is a daytime trail event at Denbies Wine Estate with marathon, half marathon, 10K and children's races. The marathon features a self navigation first half with checkpoints and a fully marked second half.

A circular half marathon trail run on the Ridgeway that visits Ashdown House and the original White Horse Hill. The route is described as undulating and the event is held under UK Athletics rules with a Trail Running Association permit.

Flat trail races at Summerleaze Park on 26 July 2026, offering 5K, 10K and a Half Marathon with marked routes, marshals, chip timing and post-race goodies.

Timed laps on a 2.62 mile out and back canal route with flexible distance options from 5 km up to ultra and a seven hour time limit. Both in person and virtual entries receive a physical medal.

A 5 mile undulating trail run on 26 July 2026 around Bembridge, passing marshes, copse and coastal path. Entry is limited to 180 runners with trophies in Seniors, V40 and V55 categories and medals for all finishers.

A looped trail event from Guildford across the North Downs in Surrey offering 50 km, 25 km and 10 km options with covered rest stops, GPS tracking, medical support, camping and shuttle transfers, plus a finishers medal and t shirt.

A family friendly inflatable obstacle run in Bournemouth on 1 August 2026 with multiple distance options, giant inflatables, finishers medals and on-site facilities for participants and spectators.

MacTuffX at Finsbury Park London on 1 August 2026 combines ten Xercises with repeated runs and offers solo, doubles and five-person relay entries plus a LITE weight division.

Third race of the Forest Five mile series on 1 August 2026, held as Orion Harriers' ELVIS fixture. The event awards individual and team trophies and offers a discounted series rate with age-category aggregate prizes.
