Thames Meander Autumn is a riverside running event organised by Hermes Running on 4 October 2026. Races follow the Thames Path towpath between the Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts area in Richmond (TW10 7AH) and the Barnes / Small Profit Dock Gardens area (SW13). Routes and practical information

  • 10 km: one out-and-back lap to Kew Gardens Car Park (CP2) and back.
  • Half Marathon: one 13.1 mile out-and-back to the Petersham / Barnes turnaround (CP3).
  • Marathon: two 13.1 mile out-and-back loops (two half-marathon laps).

There are three official check points on the route: CP1 at the start/finish (Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts or Small Profit Dock Gardens depending on the event configuration), CP2 at Kew Gardens Car Park (Ferry Lane, TW9 3AG), and CP3 near Barnes Sports Club (Lonsdale Rd, SW13 9Q). Check points are stocked with food, gels, drinks and electrolyte powders. The route is open to other path users, including cyclists and pedestrians, and will be marshalled.
