Phoenix - Track Wars - Project X

Phoenix - Track Wars - Project X takes place on 2 October 2026 at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey KT12 2JG. This is the tenth edition of the 24 hour track event and it offers timed formats for six, twelve and twenty four hours on a standard 400 m running track.

The event lets participants complete as many laps as they wish; completing at least one lap registers the participant as a finisher. Electronic chip timing will be used to provide live updates and finish results. The track is limited to 100 runners on it at any one time. The minimum recorded distance is one lap (400 m) or as far as a participant can run within the chosen timed format.

Typical lap counts that correspond to common distances are:

  • 13 laps - 5.2 km (at least 5 km)
  • 25 laps - 10 km
  • 53 laps - 21.2 km (half marathon)
  • 106 laps - 42.2 km (marathon)
  • 109 laps - 43.6 km (ultra)
  • 202 laps - 80 km (approx 50 miles)
  • 302 laps - 120 km (approx 75 miles)
  • 403 laps - 160 km (approx 100 miles)

A separate evening 6 hour session and a separate Midnight Runner event are listed as additional options. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under under UK Athletics rules. Trail runs nearby

A guided 13 miles trail run around the Surrey Hills starting and finishing in Guildford, visiting St Martha's Church and parts of the North Downs Way. Group paced with a suggested average of about 10 minutes per mile on trails.

A timed riverside event on a 5.3 km out and back Thames course where runners choose how many laps to complete within a seven hour limit. Ten pound entry supports the Rays of Sunshine charity and a double sided medal is awarded.

A 24-hour relay at Wasing Park, Reading on 6–7 June 2026 with Solo, Pair, and Team entries on an 8 km trail lap, event camping and an event village, plus charity entry options and tiered team pricing.

Run laps through Denbies Wine Estate in the Fire Horse Run, a timed off road challenge on an undulating 5.3 km loop with distances from 5 km to ultra. Pick as many laps as you like within a seven hour window for a flexible, scenic race day.
