Run to the Sea Bournemouth

Run to the Sea Bournemouth is a 50 km point-to-point ultramarathon between Moors Valley Country Park and Hengistbury Head in Bournemouth. The route follows the Castleman Trailway for part of the course and continues along the seafront, passing through forest trails and coastal paths. The organisers describe the course as flat and scenic.

The event is scheduled for Saturday 3 October 2026 with a closing date of 12 September unless sold out earlier. The race has a 9.5-hour cut-off time and is listed as a UTMB index race. It is registered with ARC and TRA.

Race support includes a fully signed course, a GPS route file provided before race day, four feed stations located at roughly 10 km intervals, and the option to have personal food delivered to feed stations three and four. Professional medical cover is provided throughout the event. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and finish goodies, and free downloadable photos are available.

Entry pricing is published for 2026, with an early bird fee and a regular fee; affiliated runners receive a small discount. Optional extras offered during registration include an event T-shirt, return bus transport from finish to start, and a reusable silicone cup. A free beginner training plan is available from 20 weeks out. Team entry is available with a prize for the first team or club with five finishers. Starburster is a twilight 5 or 10 mile run through Hurn Forest on 31 January, with out and back laps on firm forest trails beneath sunset skies. Head torches are required and 20% of entry fees support Forestry England for trail care.
