Run to the Sea Bournemouth

Run to the Sea Bournemouth is a point to point ultramarathon covering a distance of 50 km from Moors Valley Country Park to Hengistbury Head. The route follows the Castleman Trailway for part of the course and continues along the Bournemouth seafront, passing through a mix of forest trails and coastal paths. The course is described as flat and scenic.

The event provides a fully signed route with arrows, and a GPS route file is supplied before race day. There are four feed stations located at roughly 10 km intervals, and runners can arrange to have their own food delivered to feed stations three and four. Professional medical cover is provided throughout the race. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and finish goodies, and downloadable photos are available after the event.

Additional event features include a free beginner training plan provided from 20 weeks out, UTMB index status, and registration with ARC and TRA. The race is held under UK Athletics rules. Team entry is possible with individual entries recorded under a team or club name and a prize awarded to the first team or club with five finishers. Optional extras available during registration have included a T shirt, bus transport from finish to start, and a reusable silicone cup.
