South Downs 100 mile (Autumn Event)

The South Downs 100 mile (Autumn Event) is a challenging single-loop trail race held in the scenic South Downs National Park, starting at Plumpton Racecourse in Lewes, East Sussex. Covering 100 miles with over 12,000 feet of elevation, the course features rolling hills and stunning views, supported by 12 aid stations. Runners have a 34-hour cutoff time to complete the race. The event offers free onsite camping for participants over the weekend. Additionally, the race is part of the South Downs Triple Crown challenge, launching in 2025, where runners can complete three ultra-distance races within a calendar year. Take on the Hurtwood 50k through the Surrey Hills on 7 December 2025, a fully signed trail ultra with checkpoints and a 10 hour time limit. Entries open 12 December 2024 and the event welcomes fast walkers and first time ultra runners.
