The South Downs 100 mile is a single-loop trail race through the South Downs National Park. The course begins at Plumpton Racecourse in Lewes, East Sussex, and covers 100 miles with more than 12,000 ft of total elevation gain. The route includes rolling hills and multiple viewpoints and is supported by 12 aid stations. The race has a 34 hour cutoff time.

The event is scheduled for 3 October 2026 and is organised by UK Ultra. Free onsite camping is available over the weekend. The 100 mile race forms part of the South Downs Triple Crown, a challenge that begins in 2025 and requires completion of three ultra-distance races within the calendar year; four variations of the Triple Crown are offered. A scenic 7.5 km trail loop on the 1066 Country Walk with a pub finish at The Plough. Limited to 50 runners, this friendly, marshalled event includes post race tea and cake.
