A Peak District walking event in Buxton on 3 October 2026 with long and short routes through Axe Edge, Goyt Valley and Shining Tor. Organised by High Peak LDWA with checkpoints, refreshments and parking at the school.

A 15.2 km fell race in the Peak District with 490 m of climb, held at Curbar Primary School on 3 October 2026. Pre-entry is required and proceeds go to Curbar Primary School.

A coastal off road race from Peasholm Park in Scarborough along the historic Cinder Track. Distances from 5K to marathon, water stations about every 3 miles, on the day bib collection and a Grim Bling finisher medal.

Wild Run Cotswolds showcases rugged off road trails on a private estate with fully marked routes, chip timing and a family friendly supporter zone. Entries are limited to 600; choose 10K, half, marathon or the six hour 360 challenge.

A club organised 12 km fell race with about 490 m of ascent around Old Town, Hebden Bridge, including a flagged section through the private Castle Carr estate. Pre-entry is required and strict FRA kit rules apply.

A cross country meeting near Thorpe and Dovedale with a **4 3/4 mile** main race through valleys of the Dove and Manifold and a **1 1/4 mile** Mini Dash for U12s that reaches the Stepping Stones.

A junior fell running race in the Pennines for ages 6 and up. The 2 km course starts near a classic pub. Entry is available on the day.

A traffic free one lap 5K through Roundhay Park that passes the lake and climbs to the Mansion House. Entries are limited to 300, chip timing is provided and finishers receive medals and individual prizes.

Test your endurance at MacTuffX Brierley Hill in October 2026. Choose between 400m and 800m intervals in solo, double, or relay formats for a unique racing experience. This event is open to all participants aged 18 and over.

Castle Carr is a 24 km fell race in the South/West Pennines near Hebden Bridge on 4 October 2026, with about 1200 m of ascent and official FRA permit and insurance.

A six hour trail event at Sence Valley Forestry Park on a **3.3-mile** hilly loop; participants complete as many laps as they can within the time limit. Canicross and rucking are permitted, and entrants may choose a medal or a tree-planting..

An ultramarathon at Turvey House where runners repeat a 4.167 mile loop every hour. Solo, paired, and time capped options are available, with chip timing, an aid station, first aid, porta loos, and prizes.

Inflatable obstacle course at Cheltenham Racecourse on 10 October 2026 with options from 2.5 km to 15 km, family rules for children, finishers medals and on-site facilities.

A rural 8.9 km race around Tideswell with 267 m of climb, passing Peters Stone and the summit of Hay Cop before returning to Bishop Pursglove Primary School. Entry fees differ for FRA members and non-members.

A guided half marathon through the Chiltern Hills covering about 13 miles with 300 m ascent, grouped by ability and led by qualified Run Leaders, including a refreshment point, finisher’s medal and Trees not Tees certificate.

A 13.1 mile trail race starting and finishing at Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone, Derbyshire. The second edition follows varied forest and riverside terrain, includes one aid station, a finisher medal and a beer voucher.

Run the Sheffield TenTenTen at Endcliffe Park, a lively mixed terrain 10k through grass, paths and woodland that welcomes all abilities. A 2.5k fun run invites kids and families for a friendly, accessible day of outdoor running.

A trail event at Cannock Chase Forest on 11 October 2026 with Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and a junior race; the route is marked and chip timed and the event includes race photos, a themed medal and an on-site event village.

Withins Skyline is a 6.2 mile fell race around Penistone Hill Country Park with about 820 ft of ascent. The senior race is part of the Woodentops Race Series with chip timing while junior races feature goody bags and fancy dress prizes.

A roughly half marathon fell race around the Goyt Valley and up to Shining Tor. The mostly off road course is waymarked at junctions, includes two water points and finish food, and requires full Fell Runners Association kit.
