The Cannock Chase Trig Points race is an off-road, navigational event held on 1 February 2026 around Milford Common and neighbouring Cannock Chase. The course is approximately 26.5 km with about 540 m of total ascent and is classified FRA category CL. The route is not marked and requires self-navigation; runners must visit five checkpoints in order and return to the finish at Milford Common.

Checkpoint sequence on the published course is Start Milford Common, Rifle Range, Moors Gorse (outward leg cut-off at 65 minutes), Castle Ring, Moors Gorse again, Glacial Boulder, then finish at Milford Common. SI timing is used; dibbers are allocated at registration and a charge is applied for lost or unreturned units. FRA mandatory kit is required and will be checked; required items include waterproof body cover (top and trousers), hat, gloves, map, compass, and whistle. There is a short timed pause at Moors Gorse for safe road crossing.

Entry is by pre-entry only, with a limit on competitor numbers and a waiting list in operation.
