The Belper Rover 2026

The Belper Rover is a 30 km circular fell race scheduled for Sunday, 23 August 2026. The course is fully sign-posted and uses electronic chip timing. The route traverses a variety of surfaces, including public roads, bridleways, and footpaths.

Participants follow a path that incorporates ancient Roman roads, farmland, and ancient woodland. The course also includes sections of the Midshires Way. Because of the specific terrain and narrow paths, the event is not suitable for wheelchair users or dogs.

The event is open to both runners and walkers over the age of 18. The race is conducted under UKA rules, which include a prohibition on the use of earphones during the event. Registration is capped at a maximum of 300 entrants.

All finishers receive a medal and a memento. Race numbers are distributed on the morning of the event at the race headquarters located at Belper Meadows Sports Club. Due to limited parking availability at the venue, the organizer suggests car sharing where possible.
