Country to Capital Ultra

Country to Capital is a 43 mile point to point ultra marathon from Wendover to the Little Venice canal basin in London. The route starts near the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Wendover and finishes at the Stowe Centre close to Paddington and Royal Oak tube stations. Finish facilities include showers, toilets and a large hall.

The course combines country trails, roads and canal towpath. The route breakdown is approximately 11.0 miles of cross country trails (26%), 12.1 miles of roads and paths (28%) and 20 miles of canal towpath (46%). Total elevation is about +1375 ft (419 m) and -1720 ft (-524 m). The waymarked route requires some navigation; entrants receive an electronic tracker and access to voice navigation to assist with following the course.

There are five checkpoints providing water, snacks and cake, and a drink is available at the finish. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers; all finishers receive a medal and event merchandise. The event provides a baggage transfer for one carry on sized bag to the finish.

Mandatory equipment must be carried throughout the race and includes a fully charged mobile phone, powerbank, at least 1 litre water capacity, survival blanket (minimum 1.4 x 2 m), waterproof jacket, whistle, headtorch and spare batteries, hat and gloves, and a long sleeved base layer or fleece. A 10 km trail race at Marlow Rugby Club on May 25, part of the Ales & Trails series, featuring trails, woodland and Thames towpath. Entry includes a medal, a Rebellion pint cup and a free drink at the finish.

A timed Friday event on a flat 5.3 km out-and-back course along the river Thames, with lap-based distances from 5 km to ultra and a £10 Run for a Tenner entry benefiting Rays of Sunshine.

A 50 km multi terrain ultramarathon around Maidenhead, run on a single lap route that follows the Thames Path and Jubilee River. The course is mostly off road with four aid stations, chip timing, live tracking and free race photos.

An 86 miles (139 km) point to point trail race along the full length of The Ridgeway National Trail from Ivinghoe Beacon to Avebury Stones. The event features open tracking, permanent signage and aid stations spaced along the route.
