Trail Running calendar near Kiplin 2026-2027

A non-stop 268 mile winter race along the Pennine Way from Edale to Kirk Yetholm with a 156 hour time limit, over 10,700 metres of ascent and winter conditions. Entrants must be 21 or older and show prior long-distance mountain experience.

A roughly 10-mile point-to-point coastal trail run on 7 February 2027 from Druridge Bay to Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, with chip timing, an aid station, bag drop and allowance for one controlled dog per runner.

A winter trail race at Saltburn offering three mapped distances from 7.5 to 28 miles, mandatory safety kit and time limits for each course. Entries are limited and prizes are awarded across age categories.

Trail races from Grizedale Visitor Centre in the Lake District offering a 13 mile half route and a 26 mile marathon. The course runs on forest tracks with varied terrain and views of Coniston, with feed stations and a compulsory kit list.

A trail event at Whinlatter on 7 February 2027 offering a 10k and a 5k route on forest roads and trails. The event is chip timed, marked, allows two dogs per runner, and provides GPX files.

A flat trail event on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal with multiple distances, marshals and drink stations. Canal side facilities are provided and finishers receive a bespoke medal and treats.

A circular trail half marathon through the Yorkshire Wolds with about 1,200 ft of climb and a five hour cut off. The event starts and finishes at Field House Camping and Coffee Barn and includes chip timing and a plantable wildflower medal.
