A Race of Two Halves

The Half & Half is a running event located in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax. This event features a specific course design that transitions between two different running surfaces. The race is open to participants aged 18 and over.

The first half of the course takes place on rugged and muddy trails, where participants navigate through natural surroundings and terrain obstacles. The second half of the race switches to tarmac, providing a smooth road surface for the return leg to the finish line. The entire course is fully marked in one direction to assist with navigation.

Participation is limited, with total entries capped at 100 runners. The event base is located at Sowerby Bridge Pool on Station Road. For those traveling by rail, Sowerby Bridge Station is located a 5-minute walk from the registration area. Parking is available nearby on Station Road.

Participants should note that this event does not provide medals or T-shirts upon completion. Instead, official event hoodies are available via pre-order until January 10th.
