The Stopsley Trail Race on Sunday 9 August 2026 offers 5K, 5 miles and 10 miles on scenic undulating trails along the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border. Entries include chip timing, bespoke medals, free photos and participant goodies.

A six hour timed circuit event on farm fields at Thonock Lane Farm in Gainsborough. Runners complete 2.5 km laps with on-course drink and food stations and receive a themed medal and goody bag.

Race one of the AWT Backyard Ultra Series in Ruislip on 9 August 2026 uses six hourly 5 km laps for a total of 30 km. Entry is free and the event is held in person with free parking.

An informal, untimed 6-mile group run around Croome Park with a lake-and-bridge route, multi-terrain surface, post-run cake and tea, and proceeds donated to the National Trust.

An organised 7.3 km route around Darley Dale featuring forest trails, long climbs and technical descents, finishing across a field after a steep final ascent to Oker Trig Point.

A relaunch of the village fell race in Flagg, Peak District, featuring a mainly off-road 5.5 miles route through fields, lanes and country roads. The course returns with a steady one and a half mile downhill back to the village.

A 7 hour timed running event on a looped course along the River Thames in Egham. Distances range from 3 km up to 50 km with aid stations, goody bags and distance pins available.

Two trail ultramarathon options follow the Harborough Round around Market Harborough, with GPX files, multiple aid stations, TRA licensing and a comprehensive mandatory kit list for runners.

A guided 10 km trail run through the Chiltern Hills followed by a brewery tour and tasting at Tring Brewery. Groups are split by ability and participants should be able to run 5 km without stopping.

Special-edition Rat Race obstacle event at Forest Facility near Stamford, featuring a 4 mile loop with about 60 obstacles, family and teen options, and additional on-site activities. Proceeds support Project Jungle rainforest conservation.

A trail event at the Black Bull near Chelmsford on 16 Aug 2026 offering a 15 mile trail run and a 15 km social hike. The British Heart Foundation is the charity partner and finishers receive a medal and a free drink.

An approximate 5 mile undulating trail near Treeton Cricket & Football Pavilion organised by Rotherham Running Club on 18 August 2026, marshalled and with post-run refreshments. Entries open 1 June to 16 August; minimum age 16.

An evening *10 km* trail run with a published Strava route, limited entry and an event T shirt included. Race numbers are issued on the day, manual timing may be used and results are posted within 48 hours.

A 7 hour timed riverside challenge in Egham with a 3 km minimum to earn a themed medal, goody bags including a vegan option, distance pins and aid stations. Flexible distances from 3 km up to ultra distances under age rules.

A self navigated trail event around Edale in the Peak District with ultra, marathon, half and 10 mile options. Routes use rough paths, rocky descents and a waterfall and include long self supported sections between checkpoints.

Trail half marathon and 10k around Carsington Water on 22 August 2026, run on marked trail paths with marshals and an event village. GPX files are available for both courses.

Trail races at Wendover Woods feature a half marathon, 10k, 5k and junior race across steep woodland with 181 m of climb. Entries include a themed medal, free photos, chip timing and post race goodies.

A scenic circular *30 km* fell race on footpaths, bridleways and public roads that passes ancient Roman roads, farmland and woodland. The route is open to walkers and runners and all finishers receive a medal and memento.

Combined half and full marathons run through Richmond Park on 23 August 2026, using a lap route from Sheen Gate that follows the Tamsin Trail with aid stations and finishers receiving a medal, mug and buff.

Experience a scenic run through the historic Richmond Park on this UK Athletics Affiliated course. Choose between a half or full marathon distance following the trails and private roads of London’s largest Royal Park.
