Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k - 22 August 2026

This event takes place at Carsington Water in Derbyshire on 22 August 2026. It features trail running on paths around the reservoir and uses the natural scenery of the surrounding countryside.

Distances:

  • Half Marathon: out-and-back then one full reservoir loop
  • 10k: almost one full loop of the reservoir

The courses are undulating and run on trail paths. The route will be marked with trail flags and A5 arrows. Marshals will be positioned along the course to guide participants and provide encouragement.

An event village will be on site with a range of food and drink options. Participants receive free goodies from event partners at the finish area. Volunteer roles are part of the event and include tasks such as managing stalls and handing out medals.

GPX files are available for both the 10k and the half marathon courses. The organiser has information on sustainability measures it is implementing. An event t-shirt with the event logo is available at a discounted price when purchased as part of entry; production is managed in partnership with RT Kit.

The event is organised by RunThrough and is set at the Carsington Water venue on Big Lane, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
