Carsington Water Half Marathon & 10k - 22 August 2026

The event offers two distances around Carsington Water in Derbyshire: a half marathon and a 10k. Both races use trail paths and follow undulating terrain around the reservoir. The half marathon is an out-and-back route followed by one full loop of the reservoir. The 10k covers almost one full loop of the reservoir.

Course markings include trail flags and A5 arrows. Marshals are positioned on the route to guide runners and provide encouragement. GPX files are provided for both the half marathon and the 10k courses for route planning.

An event village is present with food and drink options and partner-provided free items at the finish. The organiser notes ongoing work on event sustainability. Volunteers support tasks such as managing stalls and distributing finish-line medals, and volunteers form part of the event operation.

Event clothing is available through a partner supplier and can be purchased at a discounted price when added with an entry. The organiser for the event is RunThrough and the venue is described as Carsington Water Running Events, Big Ln, Ashbourne, Derbyshire.
