INFERNO - Edale’s Ring of Hell is a trail running event on 22 August 2026, based at Edale Village Hall, S33 7ZA. The organiser is Tough Trails Ltd. Entries open 28 July 2025 and close 20 August 2026. The venue is about a five minute walk from the local train station. The event offers multiple self-navigated races; GPX files and a marked route map are available for download. Course, services and policies

The routes use sheep tracks, muddy paths, steep ascents, rocky descents and include a climb up a waterfall. Distances and ascent profiles:

  • Ultra - 41 miles , 10,000 ft ascent
  • Marathon - 26.9 miles , 6,400 ft ascent
  • Half - 15.5 miles , 4,000 ft ascent
  • 10 miles - 10 miles , 2,700 ft ascent

All finishers receive a medal. Ultra and marathon entrants carry trackers for safety. Checkpoints are stocked with Mountain Fuel gels, a variety of food including vegan options, and fizzy drinks (for example Fanta, coca-cola, Dr Pepper). The organiser provides experienced sweepers and a first-aid trained race director. The event includes donations to local Mountain Rescue, the National Trust and Peak District National Park. Participants must carry compulsory kit. The organiser does not provide plastic cups at checkpoints; participants must bring their own. Entries may be sold privately up to two weeks before the event; distance changes can be requested up to one week prior. Refund protection is offered as an optional purchase.
