INFERNO - Edale's Ring of Hell

INFERNO - Edale's Ring of Hell offers four off-road distances in the Peak District, all starting in Edale, about a five minute walk from a nearby train station. The courses use varied terrain, including steep ascents to Ringing Roger, sheep tracks, muddy paths, rocky descents and a climb by a waterfall. Streams and a waterfall appear on the routes.

The event is self-navigated. GPX files and marked maps are provided for download. Organisers can arrange a free recce for each course if there is an interested group. Participants should expect long self-supported sections, commonly 10–15 miles between checkpoints.

Mandatory kit for the Ultra and marathon includes a bivi bag, waterproof jacket, basic first aid kit and 1000 ml of liquid; some mandatory items will apply to all distances and will be published closer to the event. Failure to carry required kit may result in disqualification.

What is provided includes a finisher medal, staffed checkpoints with a variety of food, Mountain Fuel snacks and a first aid trained race director. The organisers do not provide plastic cups at checkpoints.
