Tackle the Caw fell race in the Lake District on Wednesday 13 May 2026, 9.3 km with 550 m climb from Broughton Mills. Day of race entry, great views and a classic fell running challenge for all abilities.

Old County Tops is a Lake District fell race at New Dungeon Ghyll in Great Langdale on 16 May 2026. Expect a long, demanding 59 km mountain course with 3050 m of climb, raced in pairs for a thrilling test of endurance and navigation.

Tackle a scenic trail half around Black Hambleton and Silton Woods with sweeping views over the North Yorkshire Moors and the Vale of York. Limited to 50 entrants, finishers earn a bespoke medal and certificate.

Take on scenic trails around Derwent Reservoir in County Durham, choosing 5 km or 10 km routes that wind along firm paths, grass and woodland. Canicross friendly with live chip timing, medals, merchandise and finishers snacks.

Challenge the Latterbarrow Loop fell race in the Lake District on Wednesday 20 May 2026, a punchy 4.8 km loop from Cold Fell Gate with 250 m of climb. Entry on the day is £5, places limited to 100 and every finisher gets a prize.

Kick off the Dun Holm Challenge in Durham with a 7 hour time challenge along the River Wear and Cathedral views. Choose any distance from 5 km to ultra, earn a Durham medal and enjoy aid stations with vegan options.

Join Day 2 of the Dun Holm Challenge, a 7 hour timed run around the River Wear with flat laps and Cathedral views. Choose from a 3 km finisher up to ultras and 50 km, with aid stations, toilets and vegan options.

Tackle the legendary SAS Weekend 9 route on the Howgill Fells: a fully waymarked 25 km out and back with about 1500 m ascent. Choose loaded, runner or walker categories, earn a finishers patch and enjoy a post race pub drink.

A short but testing fell race in Coniston, about 1.6 km with roughly 270 m of climb, featuring a steep ascent and a scree descent. It is a BOFRA counter with on the day entry and races for junior categories.

Take on the Glaramara Fell Race on Sun 24 May 2026 in the Lake District, starting from Glaramara Outdoor Centre at Seatoller. The 8 km course packs 700 m of climb and entry on the day is free with donations to charity.

Run Northumberland Alnwick Castle Trail on 24 May 2026 invites runners to Hulne Park around Alnwick Castle with distances from Junior 2K to half marathon. Enjoy mixed terrain, chip timing, medals and refreshments for all levels.

Tackle the classic Austwick Amble in the Yorkshire Dales, a scenic 13 km fell race with 365 m of climb from Austwick Village Green. Finish with the village street market and family friendly junior races for all ages.

Join Low Fell Running Club's annual multi terrain race at The Angel View Inn on 28 May 2026, with a 5.5 mile senior course and a 1.5 mile junior race across scenic trails. Registration opens 1 December 2025 so save the date.

Grasmere Gallop is a scenic 42 km trail race in the Lake District on 31 May 2026 with about 1905 metres of ascent across classic fells. Fully waymarked route, tracker hire for supporters and a Langdale slate finisher medal.
