Trail Running calendar near Hutton Roof Crags 2026-2027

A recce day on 14 June 2026 covering 26 miles from Pooley Bridge to Ambleside as part of the Lakeland 50 and 100 routes. Entry costs £30 and includes coach transport, medical support and basic checkpoint refreshments.

Tackle the classic Edale Fell Race in the Peak District, a 4.7 miles route with 402 m of climb across dramatic moorland. Pre entry and on the day entry are available, plus junior races and entry to Edale Country Day for runners.

Tackle Knowl Hill near Rochdale in this 6 mile fell race with 396 m of climb across the South West Pennines. Open to adults, it is the final day of a three day series with prizes and finisher shirts for series completers.

Out of Eden 5k is the short route on the Yomp Mountain Challenge weekend in Kirkby Stephen, held on the event Sunday. It is a volunteer run event with a Basecamp at Pennine View Park and fundraising for local charities.

A 5 km fell race in Accrington, Lancashire with about 400 m of ascent. Entry is on the day only, fees £5 for members and £6 for non members, teams of three allowed and the race forms part of the Accrington Fell & Trail Series.

A fund-raising fell race on 17 June 2026 near Castleton in the Peak District. The route is about 8.5 km with roughly 370 m ascent, run under FRA rules with mandatory kit and flagged, marshalled navigation.

A classic Borrowdale fell race starting outside Langstrath Country Inn, this 7.5 km route climbs 430 m over rough, partly navigational terrain with stunning tarn and valley views. Entries are on the day only and places are limited.

Join a challenging 5.3 km fell race in the South West Pennines from Whitworth Scout Hut on Wed 17 Jun 2026, with 360 m of climb. Entry on the day is £5 and all finishers get a beer, with prizes for the first three men and first three ladies..

Tebay Fell Race in the Lake District is a thrilling 13 km course with 914 m of climb across classic fell country, perfect for strong, adventurous runners. Entry on the day with showers and food at the Tebay Sports Social and Railway Club.

Enjoy a scenic trail run around the historic Forcett Hall estate with 5km and 10km options on a 5km loop. Expect pasture, woodland and estate features, muddy footing and a friendly atmosphere with walkers welcome on the shorter route.

Join Cromwell Bottom Rock up n' Run on 18 June 2026 at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve in Brighouse for scenic 5k and 10k races. On the day entries are welcome and finishers enjoy a jumble medal, hot food, a drink and free parking.

Join Ogden Midsummer Madness, a classic fell race around Ogden Water that packs 300 m of climbing into a brisk 5 km loop. Entry is on the day only, making this a lively local test of grit and speed.

Tackle Beamsley Beacon on 18 June 2026 in Addingham, York Dales, an 8.8 km fell race with 335 m of climb, steep ascents and rewarding views. Entry is on the day for £5 with registration at St Peter's Church, teams welcome, minimum age 16.

Tackle a scenic 7.3 km Peak District fell race with about 190 m of climb, sharp uphills, riverside running and a dramatic tunnel finish at Millers Dale. Pre entry only with chip timing makes this a fast, well organised challenge.

Run scenic moorland and woodland on 50 km loops or a 100 km figure of eight at Two Roses Ultra around Hebden Bridge. Well stocked checkpoints, hot food, GPS timing and a bespoke finisher medal.

A trail half marathon in Wharfedale on 20 June 2026 with about 900 m of ascent and three steep climbs. Scenic riverside and moorland terrain, event services include drinks stations, a post race meal and prize categories; age 17 plus.

Run the Yorkshire Weekend Saunter Series in Kirkstall along the scenic Leeds Liverpool Canal with 5K, 10K and half marathon options. Finish with a jumble medal, hot food and a beer or soft drink.

Join the James Blakeley Fell Race on Sat 20 Jun 2026 in Holmfirth for a thrilling 5 km Peak District challenge with 180 m climb. Entry on the day is free though site admission applies, teams of three welcome, minimum age 14.

Take on the iconic Clougha Pike fell race near Lancaster, a short but punchy 4.9 mile route with 400 m of climb and stunning views. Pre entry is required; junior races and team entries make this a lively community event.
