CBTE Morland Half Marathon

The CBTE Morland Half Marathon is a trail event held in the Eden Valley. Starting and finishing at the Morland Village Hall, the course takes participants through a variety of natural landscapes, including rivers, becks, woodland, and pastures. The route is primarily off-road on mixed terrain and features approximately 1,330 feet of elevation gain.

This event is open to both runners and walkers. While the course includes some signage, it is largely self-navigated, requiring participants to find their own way through the local scenery and villages. The route shares sections with the Morland Marathon, making it a point of reference for those looking to experience the area without completing the full marathon distance.

Participants are supported by two checkpoints along the course providing water and snacks. The event has a total time limit for completion, with a cut-off set for 3:00 pm. Entry is open to individuals aged 17 and older on the day of the event.

The available distances include:

  • 21.1 km (Half Marathon)

Successful finishers receive a medal and a t-shirt. Trophies are awarded for first place in several categories, including male, female, and non-binary open categories, as well as age-specific categories for male and female participants aged 50, 60, and 70.
