Crowden Horseshoe fell race

The Crowden Horseshoe fell race takes place on Sunday 16th August 2026 in Crowden. The event holds a Permit and carries UK Athletics insurance through the FRA. A 3 km or 5 km run at Bowdon Rugby Club with drinking stations every kilometre and a mix of inflatable and non inflatable obstacles. Drinks are included and only participants aged 18 or over may take part.

Scenic 5K, 10K and half marathon options in Bingley organised by Its Grim Up North Running, with finishers receiving a jumble medal plus hot food and a drink. Online places have sold out but places on the day are available.

Three trail routes start at Bakewell Showground and explore varied Peak District terrain including moors, valleys and parts of the Pennine Way. The Half Marathon route includes outposts and does not allow dogs.

A timed track ultra at Woodbank Park where runners complete as many 400 m laps as possible within 6, 12 or 24 hour limits, with chip timing, an aid station and indoor facilities on site.
