Trail Running calendar near Hallow 2026-2027

A 32 miles point to point ultra from Powis Estate in Welshpool to Caffi Wylfa in Chirk on 13 March 2027, featuring mixed terrain, two aid stations and finishers plates and goodies.

A 21 mile annual March challenge through the hills of the Peak District for runners and walkers. Entries usually open in November and places often sell out quickly.

A trail marathon and 20 mile trail run on an anti clockwise circular route through track, maintained trail, fields and woodland, with marked junctions, GPX files, staffed checkpoints, on course medic cover, medals and prizes.

TrailX Women Run is an all female trail event at Culden Faw Estate near Henley on Thames celebrating International Women’s Day, offering 3 km, 6.5 km and 13 km chip timed courses with medals, prizes and on site refreshments.

A 50km trail ultramarathon through the Chilterns centered at Stonor Park, run as two 25km loops with 4000 ft of climb, five aid stations and full medical support. The event has a nine hour finish limit and medals for all finishers.

Looped trail event from Bath Racecourse offering 50 km, 29 km and 10 km routes through Bath. The event features signed routes with GPS tracking, covered rest stops, medical and massage support, and categories for walkers and competitive run..

Trail races in the Cambrian Mountains on 20 March 2027 offering 25 km and 10 km routes plus junior races, waymarked courses with GPX backup, feed stations, mandatory kit requirements, and a not for profit event village.

A 32 mile mostly traffic free urban loop around the Black Country, starting and finishing at Baggeridge Country Park on 21 March 2027. The route uses disused railway lines and canal towpaths and can be entered solo pairs or teams of four.

A way marked half marathon through forest trails around Speech House in the Forest of Dean on 21 March 2027. The Rotary Club organises the event with chip and gun timing, three water stations and charity links.

Multi terrain races around Chasewater Reservoir on 28 March 2027 offering 20k, 15k, 10k, 5k and a Junior Run. Entrants receive a bespoke medal, free photos and prizes for leading runners.

A two lap multi terrain 10 km trail race on Easter Monday around Mortimer Fairground and local woodlands, with a canicross option, chip timing, medal and free race photos. The undulating course is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Peak Rail 7 pits runners against a steam hauled heritage train on the route from Rowsley South to Matlock Riverside and back. The course uses shared trails with marshals, on site parking, and post race photos and results published online.

April 2027

Three long distance mountain races loop around the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park from Brecon, offering a 100 km ultra, a 40 mile ultra trail and a mountain marathon with marked checkpoints and GPS support.

A 40 or 50 mile trail ultra along the Testway from Linkenholt to Totton in Southampton, with aid stations every 10 miles, marshals and medical support. A shuttle option is available for an extra £10 and there is a 14 hour cutoff.

A spring running and walking festival in the Shropshire Hills with off road distances from 10 km to 80 km. Events raise funds for the Grow Cook Learn charity and feature varied trail terrain and staffed checkpoints serving local food.

Scenic mixed terrain races along the Thames at Remenham Farm in Henley on Thames. Options include a Half Marathon, a 10K and a Junior Race with marked trails, marshals, chip timing and post race goodies.

Weekend trail races on the Monsal Trail in the Peak District offering a half marathon and a 10K on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2027, using a traffic free multi terrain route that passes through four tunnels and over Monsal viaduct.

A 54 mile circular ultra and a 26.2 mile marathon route start from Brixworth Country Park, mixing trails, roads and canal towpaths with staffed checkpoints and real time GPS tracking.

A 26.2 mile race covering the final section of the Rose of the Shires Ultra, mixing trails, roads and canal towpath. The route features two staffed checkpoints, real time GPS tracking and transport from Brixworth Country Park to the start.
