A chip-timed series of canal-side trail races near Bingley offering six distances from 5 km to marathon on a flat, towpath route with marshals, aid stations and TRA licensing.

A 50 miles winter ultramarathon on 20 February 2027 in the Lincolnshire Wolds, with 1,370 m of ascent along the Viking Way. The circular route features varied winter footing, four aid stations, medical cover and live GPS tracking.

A 50 miles LDWA challenge around north Leeds on two loops, visiting Temple Newsam, Meanwood Valley and Harewood Estate with a 22 hour time limit.

A trail half marathon from Levisham Village Hall through the North York Moors, including the Hole of Horcum, with marshalled route, checkpoints and a five hour limit.

A seven hour timed running event at Burton Waters near Lincoln on 27 February 2027, held on a flat canal towpath with options from half marathon to ultra marathon and ARC permit coverage.

Trail runs at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden on 28 February 2027 offer 5km, 10km and half marathon distances with live chip timing. Canicross is allowed and finishers receive a medal, merchandise, snack and drink.

A seven hour timed event at Burton Waters near Lincoln on a flat canal towpath offering measured laps and distances from half marathon to ultras. Entry is limited to 50 and the minimum age is 18.

A themed event at Shipley Country Park on 15 February 2026 celebrating the Chalkhill Blue Butterfly as part of the Butterfly Effect series, with tickets at £41.50.

March 2027

Experience a classic 15 km fell race through the South West Pennines. Starting from Barley Village Hall, this event features 545 meters of ascent and requires navigation skills for all participants.

A moorland trail event around Saddleworth offering 26 km, 43 km and 62 km routes that visit reservoirs and rough moorland. Entry fees include refreshments, tracking, medical cover and a post event meal.

A women-only 6 km trail event at Big G’s Gym in Edgworth on 6 March 2027 with official timing, marshals and a GPX route file. All profits support PSPA and Scallywags Pre-school.

A flat out and back on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal towpath from Granary Wharf, offering distances from 10K to ultra marathon with regular feed stations and Trail Running Association licensing.

Trail running at Tatton Park on 6 March 2027 with 5 km, 10 km and half marathon routes through parkland and woodlands.

Trail running at Beacon Fell on 7 March 2027 with a 10k and a longer off road route, chip timing, aid stations, and medals. Finishers receive pie and a brew.

A muddy weekend trail event at Rosliston Forest in Derbyshire featuring twisty, rooty forest terrain and swampy sections; entry is listed at £41.50.

A 31.7 mile off road fell race around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge with about 1615 m of climb. It crosses remote moorland, requires FRA mandatory kit and navigation skills, and raises funds for local charities.

A 13.98 km fell race in Hayfield, Peak District, with 451 m of climb, held at Hayfield Primary School. Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are available; funds support the school and donations are made to Kinder Mountain Rescue.

A 21 mile annual March challenge through the hills of the Peak District for runners and walkers. Entries usually open in November and places often sell out quickly.

A trail event near North Wingfield on 13 March 2027 offering a marathon and a 20 mile race over mixed trail, field and woodland with aid stations and finisher medals.
