Lincoln Marabank Saturday

Burton Waters, United Kingdom • 7 Mar 2026

Event

The Lincoln Marabank is a 7-hour timed running event held at Burton Waters near Lincoln. The course is flat and traffic-free, following a canal towpath alongside the Roman-built Fossdyke - described as England's oldest canal still in regular use. Runners have up to seven hours to cover as much distance as they choose.

Distances offered:

  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra marathon
  • 7-hour timed distance

Medals are awarded to anyone who completes at least one measured lap. Marathon runners are offered a course intended to match an approved marathon distance; the measured distance may be slightly over. An early start option is available for marathon entrants, extending the available running time for that distance.

The event is organised by Vigilantes Maravan CIC and will run under an ARC permit, which includes event insurance and adherence to ARC minimum standards. The organiser provides a well-stocked aid station on course. Entry is limited to 50 entrants, with a minimum age of 18 years. Entries close on 01/03/2026.
