Trail Running calendar near Churchill 2026-2027

A six-hour off-road event at Salcey Forest on a 3.5-mile loop where participants run as many laps as they wish. The course is forest trails with aid-station treats, canicross permitted, parking available and a GPX route provided.

A night trail 10k at Salcey Forest near Northampton that requires a head or chest torch. Petzl will offer on site headtorch demos and the fully marked two lap route is on crushed stone and can be slippery.

A **50 km** trail race from Putteridge Bury near Luton on 21 November 2026, following Chiltern Way and Ridgeway sections with 798 m of ascent. The fully marked course has three aid stations, a GPX route file and an 8 hour 45 minute limit.

A half day 10 km trail run in the Chiltern Hills that finishes with a private tour and tasting at Tring Brewery. The event includes trail instruction and a bottle or a pint at the brewery.

A 21.1 km trail race around Hughenden Manor and surrounding woodlands, with about 450 m of ascent. Mostly forest paths, marked route, aid stations at around 7, 12 and 16 km, and on site parking, toilets and a cafe.

Dash in the Dark Race 2 is a 6.4 km fell run with 229 m ascent at Llandegla Forest. A safety briefing is provided and a headtorch with at least two hours' lighting is compulsory.

Carsington Water stages a Half Marathon and 10k on 5 December 2026, run on marked trail paths around the reservoir with marshals and kilometre markers. Entries include a themed medal, water and post race goodies.

Trail races at Alyn Waters on 5 December 2026 include 5 km, 10 km and a canicross 5 km plus a free children's 1 km dash. Courses are fully marked and marshalled, chip timed and finishers receive a medal.
