Butcombe Trail Ultra
Rowberrow, United Kingdom • 25 Apr 2026
The Butcombe Trail Ultra is a self-navigation ultramarathon held in the Mendip Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the UK. Organized by the Town and Country Harriers, the event offers two race distances: 50 miles and 50 kilometers. The mostly off-road course features scenic running terrain and stunning views as it criss-crosses the Mendips, passing six pubs along the route.
Starting and finishing at the Mendip Activity Centre in Churchill, the race emphasizes safety with mandatory kit and tracking devices for runners. Both distances serve as qualifying events for the UTMB® series. The event supports the Mendip Hills Fund, contributing to local conservation efforts.
